Resourcifi started.
We started Resourcifi as a B2B services agency in 2016. Mobile and web builds for clients ranging from Dow Chemical to Stanford, Narda Miteq, the University of Guelph, and Snaking. Outbound was the engine that brought them in: cold emails, calls, LinkedIn, referrals. No paid ads, not then, not since. By 2019 we were shipping steadily and the pipeline ran on outbound alone.
COVID happened.
Then COVID happened. We lost a lot of clients in the first few months. Suddenly everyone was remote, working from different rooms and time zones, and a lot of the team was new people who’d never worked together in person. Outbound was the one thing we couldn’t afford to let slip, so we spent those two years figuring out how to make it work in that setup, trying every tool we could get our hands on and stitching them together.
The process broke.
By 2022 the stack worked, but it was held together with tape. Eight tools, multiple SDR teams, and every step had to be logged by hand so the next person on the account knew where things stood. The SDRs hated it. The moment pressure eased, they stopped logging, and the whole thing broke. So we sat back and decided to build an internal tool. It wasn’t called ReachIQ yet. Over the next several months we rebuilt each piece ourselves so it fit how our team worked.
We pounced on AI.
Halfway through the rebuild, AI got real. The base models were good enough to write a cold email that didn’t read like a template, so we pounced and wired them in as early as we could. Then we fine-tuned them on 25 million B2B outbound emails with tagged outcomes like opens, replies, meetings booked, and deals closed, so the model learned what worked. Inside a year we were generating more qualified opportunities than our own SDR team could close.
ReachIQ shipped.
We joked internally that we should just keep the deals we could close and refer the rest to other agencies. Then we realized we could do it for any B2B company. So ReachIQ became a product. Fifteen months of polishing later, with better models shipping the whole time, it runs for SDR and AE teams at any size. By now Resourcifi has grown into a leading B2B agency, and it still runs on outbound alone, zero ad spend.
